During WWII, she worked as a secretary before marrying her high school sweetheart, Harold Fay, in 1946. After Fay’s return from the US Navy, Mooky devoted her life to caring for their five children, supporting her husband, and operating the family hardware store.
Mook Mills Cheese Straws were born out of Mooky’s love for cooking and sharing delicious treats with her community. Her cheese straws quickly became a local favorite, cherished for their perfect blend of cheesy goodness and crisp texture. Even after her passing in 1999, Mooky’s passion for quality and flavor lives on through these beloved snacks.
