Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Fresh Lean Ground Chuck
- 2 Fresh Alabama Grown Tomatoes, diced
- 1 package Dole Lettuce (American Blend, Italian Blend, or Romaine)
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
- 8 taco shells or tortillas
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Lime wedges (optional)
Recipe:
Prepare the Ground Chuck:

- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground chuck and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it is browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Add the taco seasoning mix and a 1/4 cup of water to the cooked ground chuck. Stir well to combine. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes until the flavors are well incorporated.
Prepare the Vegetables:

- While the ground chuck is simmering, wash and dice the Alabama grown tomatoes.
- Open the package of Dole lettuce and ensure it is ready for serving.
- If using, slice the avocado and chop the fresh cilantro.
Assemble the Tacos:

- Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to the package instructions.
- Spoon a portion of the seasoned ground chuck into each taco shell or tortilla.
- Top with diced tomatoes and a handful of Dole lettuce.
- Add shredded cheese on top of the lettuce.
Add Condiments:

- Add a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa to each taco.
- If using, place a few avocado slices on top.
- Sprinkle with chopped cilantro for added freshness and flavor.
Serve:

- Serve the tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
- Enjoy these delicious and fresh Ground Chuck Tacos with your favorite side dishes like rice and beans or a simple corn salad.
Taco Tips:
- For a spicier kick, add some sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
- Ground turkey or chicken can be used as a substitute for ground chuck for a lighter option.
- These tacos pair well with a refreshing beverage like a cold Mexican soda or a homemade margarita.
