Earlier in July
July 10 bottle lineups
The July 10 tastings have concluded, but their featured bottles remain a useful preview of what an in-store tasting can help you compare. Dunnavant Valley leaned bright, European, and lightly sparkling; Clairmont moved from coastal whites and rosé into Pinot Noir and Bordeaux.

This table began with French bubbles, a white Pinot Noir, and two brisk whites before turning toward red. Oregon Pinot Noir created a softer bridge into Bardolino, a light Italian red that feels especially at home with a slight chill and a summer meal.

Clairmont’s sequence traveled from Spain and Oregon to the Mediterranean coast, then into red-wine country. Albariño, Pinot Gris, and Bandol rosé made a fresh opening; Pinot Noir, an organic Penedès bottle, and a Canon-Fronsac selection added progressively deeper flavor.

What an in-store tasting helps you learn
You do not need tasting notes or perfect wine vocabulary. A side-by-side flight gives you a practical way to notice what you enjoy and describe it to the wine team the next time you shop.
- Compare stylesNotice the shift from crisp to rich, or familiar to unexpected.
- Ask about the tableLearn where a bottle is from, what makes it distinctive, and what to serve with it.
- Remember your favoritesTake a quick photo or note; future availability can vary by store.
